Volleyball: Raiders get Tough Test Vs. #13 Ranked DMACC
The CCC volleyball team hosted the #13 ranked Des Moines Area CC yesterday afternoon at Raider Field House. A recap of the match is below:
Central Community College's volleyball team faced a tough 3-0 loss to DMACC. The Raiders struggled to find and maintain their rhythm throughout the match. While they were able to string together short scoring runs of three or four points, they couldn't stop DMACC from immediately answering back. DMACC's impressive performance was anchored by its strong offense and defense, with the team collectively amassing an outstanding 76 digs. The set scores were 25-18, 25-18, and 25-14. Chloe Henn led the team in kills with 7 and Meah Sackett contributed 22 assists. Mallory Dressen and Marin Reilly both had the team-high 12 digs a piece.
The CCC Volleyball team moves to 10-9 and is back in action this Friday and Saturday in tournament play. They face off with Metropolitan Community College, Cowley County Community College on Friday, and Pratt Community College and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Saturday.
