On Wednesday, September 3rd the CCC volleyball team headed over to Southwestern Community College. A recap of each match is below:
The Raiders first set was competitive, with both teams trading points at the beginning. Towards the end, Central was able to pull away with some key points down the stretch, 25-17. The second set had a very similar feel with the Raiders pulling away late to win the second 25-16. The third set was the least competitive with CCC taking control and not letting it go, winning the third 25-11 giving CCC VB the 3-0 sweep. Mallory Dreesen led the team in kills with 8 and Meah Sackett contributed 29 assists. Maleigha Johnson, Marin Reilly, and Dressen had 5 digs a piece in this one as well.
The CCC Volleyball team moves to 5-3 and is back in action on Friday and Saturday in the Iowa Central Volleyball Invitational. They play Rochester Community and Technical College and Seminole State College on Friday and on Saturday they take on Neosho County Community College and Mesa Community College.
