The Central Community College volleyball team won both matches in a triangular at McCook Community College on Saturday. A brief recap of each match is below.
The matches closed out the regular season and the Raiders finished with a 17-17 mark. CCC will begin Region 9 post-season play at home on Wednesday against Southeast Community College. The Raiders swept the storm during the regular season, winning 3-1 at Beatrice on Sept. 8 and 3-0 on Oct. 20 at the Raider Fieldhouse. The first serve is set for 7 p.m. at the Raider Fieldhouse.
Match 1 vs. Lamar (Colo.) Community College
The Raiders shut out the Lopes, 3-0, in the first match of the day. The final scores were 25-9, 25-10 and 25-14.
Emily Otten led the Raiders in kills with a dozen, while Kamryn Chohon finished with 33 assists and 13 digs. Chloe Odbert also posted 13 digs.
Match 2 vs. McCook Community College
The Raiders held off the Indians in five sets to take a 3-2 victory. CCC won the first two matches, 25-20 and 25-21, while McCook owned the third and fourth sets, 25-16 and 25-22. The Raiders took the match with a 15-4 triumph in the fifth set.
Rachel Otten led CCC in kills with 13, while Chohon dished out 38 assists. Ashley Brown finished with 16 digs.
