The CCC women's soccer team got the regular season started this weekend with a home match against Metropolitan Community College. A recap of the match is below:
Central and Metro CC were treated to a gorgeous 75 degree day on Saturday for their match. This was a very tightly contested, defensive game with Metro CC scoring first and Central answering later in the first period to tie with a goal from Lois Taylor (assisted by Erin Harris.) The second period was scoreless both ways, Central was able to get multiple shots on goal in the second, and thanks to CCC's stellar defense, Metro CC was unable to get a shot on goal in the second. The match ended in a tie 1-1.
CCC women's soccer moves to 0-0-1 and is in action next August 26th, Tuesday at 3:30 at home vs Highland Community College (KS).
