The Central Community College softball team headed to Waterloo, IA this past Saturday, in a doubleheader vs. Hawkeye CC. The second game was postponed due to weather so it a recap of Game 1 below:
Central Community College struggled to gain momentum in a tough 11–0 loss against Hawkeye Community College, as the RedTails' offense proved difficult to contain early on. Kloey Johnson provided the lone hit for the Raiders, finishing 1-for-2 on the day to lead the team's offensive efforts. Callen Heule started the game on the mound and was ultimately credited with the loss, while Logan Rainforth provided three innings of relief work to close out the contest. Despite the difficult result, the Raiders looked to regroup as they faced a potent Hawkeye lineup that capitalized on early scoring opportunities.
Raiders move to 12-18 and are in action next vs Kirkwood CC on April 6th.
