The CCC men's soccer team faced off against Patrick & Henry Community College on September 16th at Raider Field. A recap of the match is below:
PHCC came all the way from Virginia to play the Central Raiders in this very exciting none-conference game. The first period was very defensively sound, with both teams playing good, aggressive defense. CCC was able to win the first period 1-0 after a stellar header from Harvey Brook (assisted by Leo Morley-Robertson.) In the second, PHCC gave a very strong offensive push right out of the half, and wasted no time knotting it up at 1-1. The game did not last tied very long, however, CCC's first offensive push yielded a goal scored by Leo Morley-Robertson ( assisted by Ollie Rose) to give the Raiders a 2-1 lead. The Raiders momentum just kept on rolling for the rest of the second period, turning into 2 more goals for CCC scored by Kristof Nemeth (assisted by Brook & Luke Edmondson) and Nathan Hammond ( assisted by Juan Lopez & Edmondson.) Raiders win 4-1.
CCC men's soccer moves to 4-3-1 and are in action next on Sept. 20th at Marshalltown CC.
