The Central Community College men's soccer team defeated Allen County (Kan.) Community College, 3-0, on Saturday at Raider Field.
The Raiders scored the first goal in the 41st minute as Ivan Lopez found the back of the net with Marc Ackerman assisting for a 1-0 lead. Just before halftime, CCC's Bijan Aslan scored a goal with Yeysen Marino-Chavez on the assist and the Raiders took a 2-0 lead into the break. The Raiders tacked on a goal right before the end of the game as Rafael Medrano scored a goal with Roilien Martin assisting to complete the 3-0 shutout.
"Overall, it was a good game," said CCC head coach Luis Pulido. "The guys were very organized defensively and took advantage of the chances that they created. It was a good win going into the upcoming region games."
CCC goalie Rodolfo Ramirez face five shots on goal and collected five saves.
The win evens CCC record at 5-5.
The Raiders return to action on Wednesday at Southeast Community College. Kickoff in Beatrice is set for 4:30 p.m.
