Men's Golf: Raiders Conclude Season at Regional Championship
The Central Community College Golf Team concluded their season in Sioux CIty competing in the Region Championships hosted at Whispering Creek. Results of event and season recap below:
Golf officially wrapped up its season with an 11th-place finish at the year-end tournament. Beautiful weather favored the competitors with great conditions across all three days of play. The event marked a bittersweet goodbye to sophomores Jake Wright and Jack Edwards, who competed in their final tournament as Raiders and will be deeply missed. Luke Specht led the Central lineup, continually shaving strokes each day to fire a team-low 77 in the final round. Gavin Wisnieski brought a second-round spark by carding a sharp 79, while Keaton Busch showed some grit to bounce back for a stellar final-round 82. Wright and Edwards both battled hard through their final collegiate holes to round out the Raider scoring.
With the 2025-26 campaign now in the books, the page turns to the 2026-27 season where the future looks incredibly bright. The Raiders have 12 golfers for the 26-27 season highlighted by returner Luke Specht, transfer Brody Rogers, and a plethora of freshman talent coming in such as Reid Thornburg out of Bennington, Houston Billeter out of Southwest HS, Micah Gerlach out of Cambridge, Beau Paro from St. Paul… and many more.
The future of Men's Golf at CCC is BRIGHT!!
