Men's Golf: Raiders Conclude the Fall at the Nebraska Intercollegiate
The CCC Golf team concluded their 2025-26 fall season over this last Monday and Tuesday. A recap of the tournament is below:
Day 1 was challenged by cold and rainy conditions. Despite Mother Nature's lack of kindness, the Raiders played exceptionally well, posting four rounds in the 70s. This strong performance propelled them ahead of several higher-ranked schools. Day 2 brought great weather and low wind, but the team struggled to maintain their momentum. Central's team score was 21 shots higher than the first day, resulting in the Raiders finishing the tournament in 8th place.
Head coach Sam Elgert said this, "Overall, the fall season was a success, getting the first win as a head coach, and CCC golf's first win in multiple years. Day 1 of this event was great. The guys stepped up and competed and showed they wanted to be there. Day 2 was the opposite. We have a lot of work to do on the golf side, as well as the mental side. We are going to get back in the lab this winter and be ready to rock in the Spring!"
