Golf: Raiders are York Invitational Champions

The CCC Golf team had their third event of the 2025-26 season over this last Monday and Tuesday. A recap of the tournament is below:

The Raiders competed in the York University Fall Invitational over the last few days. The weather was great, with low wind and sitting at about 75 degrees for the majority of play. The first day was 36 holes walking and day two was 18 holes walking. Day one was a long day for the guys, logging about 15-18 miles a person walking. The drive and motivation was strong though and that translated in the scores with them getting better from R1 to R2. Going into round three CCC only had a three shot lead so they knew they had to continue the high level of play. Not only did they do that, they shot 15 shots better than R2. The Raiders won the tournament by 28 shots, with finishes from Luke Specht in 2nd and Keaton Busch in 3rd. This is Coach Elgert's first win at CCC in his second fall season.

The Golf team is back in action Monday and Tuesday at the Nebraska Intercollegiate at Fremont Golf Club.
