The Central Community College men's basketball team headed to WIT Community College on Saturday, January 24th. A recap of the match is below:
The Raiders ran into a wall at Western Iowa Tech, dropping an 86–50 decision in a game that completely got away in the second half. After keeping things relatively competitive in the first period, the offense went ice cold in the second. Merkv Torrance was the lone Raider in double figures with 11 points, while Brody Johnson and Nevaeh Hawkins combined for 11 rebounds in a game where the shots simply wouldn't fall. CCC managed to stay aggressive enough to earn 24 trips to the charity stripe, but it wasn't nearly enough to offset a second half where they were outscored 48–22.
Raiders move to 9-13 and are in action next at home vs DMACC on January 28th.
