The Central Community College men's basketball team hosted Northeast Community College at home, on Wednesday, January 14th. A recap of the match is below:
Central Community College fell to a hot-shooting Northeast Community College squad 103-74 on Wednesday night. Jarmon provided a significant spark off the bench for the Raiders, leading the team with 21 points while knocking down four triples. Nino Nesbitt and Mo Abdalla each chipped in 13 points to the effort, and Merkv Torrance added a pair of three-pointers late in the contest. While CCC remained active on the defensive end with 10 steals, they struggled to contain a blistering Hawks offense that shot 53% from beyond the arc. Ultimately, the Raiders were unable to overcome Northeast's efficiency and a 42-29 rebounding deficit, but they showed resilience by continuing to push the pace in a high-scoring 40-point second half.
Raiders move to 8-11 and are in action next in Columbus on January 16th vs York University JV.
