The Central Community College men's basketball team headed to Des Moines Iowa to faceoff against the #9 ranked DMACC Bears, on Wednesday, December 3rd. A recap of the match is below:
This was a tough matchup for the young Raiders team. Central struggled to keep pace after a 46-29 halftime deficit, ultimately being hampered by a 36.5% shooting performance from the field and only converting on five three-pointers. The DMACC Bears took this one 67-98, but despite the score, CCC saw strong offensive efforts from the bench, with Merkv Torrance leading the team with 17 points on 7-10 shooting, and Tee Liban adding 11 points and four assists.
The men's basketball team moves to 6-5 on the season and are in action next vs the defending national champions, Kirkwood CC this Saturday at Kirkwood.
