The Central Community College men's basketball team defeated the York College JV, 83-70, on Tuesday night in York.
The win came one day after Central lost at home to Peru State JV.
"It was good to get back on the winning side after a disappointing loss the other night," said CCC head coach John Ritzdorf. "I thought our overall effort was much better tonight, but we are still lacking some consistency and attention to detail that really prevented us from putting (York JV) away earlier."
Dwight Glover Jr. (pictured #15) led the Raiders with 19 points while Derek Merwick added 17 points. Kevin Cook rounded out CCC's double-digit scoring with a dozen points.
"Derek was outstanding," said Ritzdorf. "For most of the night, we put the ball in his hands, and he made great decisions coming off the ball screen."
The win boosts CCC's record to 12-6 heading into Saturday's home showdown with Southeast Community College. The Storm are 8-9 on the season, having lost three in a row.
"We are still searching for a complete 40 minutes from our team which we'll need on Saturday against a good Southeast team," said Ritzdorf.
Saturday's SCC-CCC game is set for 2 p.m. at the Raider Fieldhouse.
