The Central Community College men's basketball team lost in opening round play of the Great Western Shootout to host Iowa Central Community College, 77-65, on Friday night.
The Tritons took advantage of 20 Raider turnovers in their second win between the teams this season. ICCC defeated CCC, 98-92, in November at the Hawks Classic, hosted by Northeast Community College.
Three CCC players scored in double figures with Latrell Talley leading the way with 22 points, followed by Bennett Nelson and Marquis Dotson, who each scored 13 points.
With the loss, the Raiders are now 5-6 on the season and will meet North Iowa Area Community College in second round action of the Great Western Shootout on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
