Volleyball: Redtails Get the Better of the Raiders
The CCC volleyball team headed to Waterloo, Iowa on October 21st to face off against Hawkeye Community College. A recap of the match is below:
The Raiders displayed effort and grit, fighting relentlessly for every point against Hawkeye. While the team worked hard, the Redtails ultimately swept the match in three sets. The first set was dominated by the home team, with the Redtails pulling away early for a 25-15 victory. However, the Raiders found their rhythm in the second set, battling hard before falling 25-19. The third set proved to be the most competitive of the night, featuring a tight back-and-forth contest, but the Hawkeyes ultimately edged out the Raiders 25-22 to complete the sweep. Chloe Henn led the team in kills with 7 and Meah Sackett contributed 25 assists. Maleigha Johnson had 7 digs.
The CCC volleyball team moves to 15-14 and is back in action on Oct 23th hosting NIACC.
