Volleyball: Battle of HW 82 Goes to Visiting Hawks

The CCC volleyball team matched up with Northeast Community College in the Battle of HW 82 last night. A recap of each match is below: 

The Raiders were able to start off hot with a set 1 comeback winning set 1 25-22. Set two the Hawks were able to get one back thanks to a couple key challenges using CCC's new CHALLENGE REVIEW technology, winning it 25-17. The Raiders played Northeast extremely tough in the third set, going back and forth with neither team going up by more than 5 points. Towards the end of the period, however, Northeast was able to pull away in the right point, winning the third 25-22. In the fourth, the Raiders were unable to get the momentum back, giving the fourth to the Hawks 25-18. Chloe Henn led the team in kills with 14 and Meah Sackett contributed 37 assists. Maleigha Johnson had 17 digs in this one as well.

The CCC Volleyball team moves to 11-13 and is back in action on Oct 2nd at Marshalltown CC.
