Volleyball: Raiders Fall to Knights
The Central Community College volleyball team lost at North Platte Community College, 3-0, on Wednesday night. The final scores were 25-21, 25-14 and 25-18.
Ashley Brown and Emily Otten led the way in kills with five and four, respectively. Kamryn Chohon dished out 18 assists, while Otten posted eight digs.
"We struggled the entire night to get into a rhythm on offense and I thought our team defense was incredibly off from previous matches," said CCC head coach Mary Young. "North Platte has a nice team and they played well. At the same time, we didn't challenge them on defense and pretty much let them control all facets of the game. It's super disappointing, especially coming off some excellent work and progress we've made in recent weeks. The good news is that the things we struggled with, we can control and fix."
The loss gives CCC a 7-4 mark for the 2021 season.
The Raiders are back in action on Friday and Saturday at the Kansas City Kansas Community College tournament. On Friday, CCC meets Highland (Kan.)
