The Central Community College volleyball team defeated Southeast Community College, 3-1, on Wednesday night in Beatrice. The Raiders won the first two sets, 25-16 and 25-20. The Storm avoided the shut out with a 25-20 victory in the third set. CCC took the match with a 25-19 win in the fourth set.
Emily Otten and Josie Richards each tallied 14 kills.
"We were pleased to get the win at Southeast," said CCC head coach Mary Young. "I thought we were very up and down throughout the match. We played well in streaks and then would have far too many streaks of unforced errors. It was good to see our team play above the errors and settle in for the win."
With the win, CCC is now 7-2 on the season.
Up next, the Raiders will host Cloud County Community College on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Raider Fieldhouse. The T-Birds are 6-5 following a 3-0 home loss to Seward County Community College on Wednesday night.
