Women's Basketball: The Raiders End Season with Statement OT Road Win
The Central Community College women's basketball team headed to Iowa Lakes CC on Wednesday, February 25th. A recap of the match is below:
In a thrilling season finale, Central Community College sent its six sophomores out on a high note with a gritty 90–83 overtime victory over Iowa Lakes Community College. Sophomore Lexi Fiscus saved her best for last, putting on a legendary performance with a 44-point, 13-rebound double-double, shooting a dominant 15-of-25 from the floor. Fellow sophomore Delaney Reeg was equally vital, playing all 45 minutes and flirting with a triple-double by tallying 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. This victory not only marked a resilient finish to the 2025-26 campaign but served as a perfect curtain call for a sophomore class that fought until the very last buzzer.
Head coach Kasandra Stoltz said this, "It was a great win to finish of the season. I thought the team showed up ready to go from the start and managed to close out a close game in overtime. Obviously, Lexi had a great game, but I thought everybody contributed one way or another. Even though, our season ended without making the conference tournament, I'm super proud of how we continued to get better and better every day and every game. Excited about the group coming back next year and will certainly miss the sophomores who are leaving. I think they left their mark on the program and hopefully we can continue to build of some of the successes we had this year."
The women's basketball team finishes the season at 10-20.
