The Central Community College women's basketball team hosted DMACC at home, on Wednesday, January 28th. A recap of the match is below:
It was a tough night at the office for the Raiders as they ran into a dominant DMACC squad, eventually falling 83–56. The story of the game was the glass, where the Bears' size advantage resulted in a 58–25 rebounding margin that made it difficult for Central to string together runs. Despite the physical battle, Delaney Reeg lead the Raiders with 17 points and a gritty 9-of-12 performance from the free-throw line. The bench provided a significant lift as well, with Cayleigh Jackson putting up 12 points on efficient 5-of-9 shooting. Jayla Merrill worked hard to facilitate the offense with 6 assists.
Raiders move to 7-15 and are in action next at home vs Kirkwood CC on January 31st.
