Women's Basketball: Raiders Earn Conference Win Vs. Southeastern Community College
The Central Community College women's basketball team headed to Southeastern Community College on Saturday, January 24th. A recap of the match is below:
Central Community College secured a commanding 78–62 road victory over Southeastern Community College, fueled by a performance from Lexi Fiscus. Fiscus, she exploded for a game-high 34 points and 13 rebounds while shooting an efficient 12-of-17 from the floor. The Raiders set the tone early with a blistering 24–10 first-quarter run and maintained their composure even as the Blackhawks attempted a mid-game comeback. Jayla Merrill provided a strong secondary scoring option with 16 points, while Delaney Reeg was the assist leader with 10 to go along with 6 rebounds. CCC's defensive intensity held Southeastern to just 29.2% shooting, and a strong 19–12 closing effort in the fourth quarter ensured the Raiders headed home with a decisive conference win.
Raiders move to 7-14 and are in action next at home vs DMACC on January 28th.
