The Central Community College women's basketball team hosted Iowa Western CC at home, on Wednesday, January 21st. A recap of the match is below:
Central Community College battled through a defensive stalemate on Wednesday night, eventually falling to Iowa Western Community College 61–47. The Raiders remained within striking distance throughout the first half, trailing by just four points at the break, but a cold-shooting third quarter where the team was limited to just six points allowed the Reivers to pull away. Lexi Fiscus delivered a standout performance with a dominant double-double, racking up 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Jordyn Sheridan anchored the paint with 12 points and 8 boards. Despite matching Iowa Western on the glass with 41 total rebounds and holding them to 31% shooting from the field, the Raiders' struggles from the perimeter proved too much to overcome in the second half.
Raiders move to 6-14 and are in action at Southeastern CC on January 24th.
