Women's Basketball: Raiders Win in OT Thriller

The Central Community College women's basketball team headed to Marshalltown CC on Saturday, January 17th. A recap of the match is below: 

Central Community College displayed incredible grit on the road, outlasting Marshalltown CC in a thrilling 85-79 overtime victory. After Marshalltown forced the extra period with a late fourth-quarter surge, the Raiders locked down defensively in OT, outscoring the Tigers 9-3 to secure the win. Lexi Fiscus was the standout performer, delivering a monster double-double with a game-high 33 points and 12 rebounds, including a blistering 7-of-12 performance from three-point range. Jayla Merrill chipped in 15 points, while the Raiders received a massive boost from the bench as Samryn Dick (12 points) and Rebecca Stoddard (11 points) both reached double figures. Raiders move to 6-13 and are in action next in Columbus on January 21st vs Iowa Western CC.
