Despite a career-best performance from Jayla Merrill, Central Community College fell to Northeast Community College 76-64 on Wednesday night. Merrill was the focal point of the Raiders' offense, logging nearly 40 minutes and pouring in a game-high 29 points, including six makes from three-point range. While the Raiders struggled through a difficult third quarter, they refused to quit, mounting a spirited 22-14 scoring run in the fourth quarter to close the gap. Lexi Fiscus dominated the glass for CCC, finishing with 10 points and a team-high 9 rebounds, while Delaney Reeg acted as the primary facilitator with 6 assists and 3 steals.
