The Central Community College women's basketball team headed to Ellsworth Community College on Saturday, January 10th. A recap of the match is below:
In a defensive, four-quarter battle in Iowa Falls, Central Community College fell to Ellsworth Community College 67-51 on Saturday. The Raiders kept the game tight through the first half, entering the locker room down by only one point after a strong second-quarter effort. However, a scoring drought in the third period allowed the Panthers to build a double-digit lead that Central could not erase. Jordyn Sheridan led the Raiders' offensive effort with 13 points, while Lexi Fiscus provided a spark from deep, connecting on three triples for 11 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Despite shooting a solid 36.8% from three-point range, the Raiders were hampered by 23 turnovers and an aggressive Ellsworth defense that converted mistakes into late-game momentum.
Raiders move to 5-12 and are in action next in Columbus on January 14th vs Northeast CC.
