The Central Community College women's basketball team headed to Fort Dodge, IA to face off against a very good Iowa Central Community College, on Wednesday, December 17th. A recap of the match is below:
Despite a valiant effort on the road, the Central Community College women's basketball team faced a tough shooting night in a 71-52 loss to Iowa Central Community College. The Raiders displayed incredible heart early on, battling through a physical first half to hold a 28-24 lead at the break. Lexi Fiscus once again anchored the team, playing all 40 minutes and pouring in a team-high 24 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Central's defense remained active throughout the contest, forcing 16 turnovers. The second half didn't go the Raiders way, and allowed the Tritons back in the game and ultimately outlasting the Raiders 71-52.
The Raiders move to 5-9 and are in action next on January 3rd at home vs NIACC.
