The women's basketball team fought hard but ultimately fell to Southeastern Community College (SCC), 80-71. The team was led by an exceptional performance from guard Lexi Fiscus, who scored a game-high 30 points and recorded a strong double-double with 12 rebounds while playing all 40 minutes. CCC dominated the rebounding battle, out-rebounding SCC 50-32, with Cayleigh Jackson adding 11 boards. Despite being outscored early, the Raiders mounted a comeback in the second quarter to narrow the gap before halftime. Other key contributors included Delaney Reeg with 8 points, and Jayla Merrill and Jordyn Sheridan each scoring 6 points off the bench.
The women's basketball team moves to 5-8 and are in action next on December 17th at Iowa Central CC.
