The Central Community College women's basketball team lost at McCook Community College, 71-54, on Saturday.
The Raiders and Indians kept close through the first two quarters and McCook held a 30-27 halftime lead. The Indians took command in the third quarter by outscoring the Raiders, 27-15, and maintained the momentum for the win.
"The effort was there, but we just could not get some shots to fall," said CCC head coach Billy Perkins.
Brittney Veik led CCC in scoring with 20 points while Madisen Jelinek scored 13 points.
The loss is the third straight for the Raiders, giving them a record of 6-8.
CCC returns to action on Tuesday night with a home game against Concordia University JV. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
