Women’s Basketball: Indians Defeat Raiders

The Central Community College women's basketball team lost at McCook Community College, 80-39, on Saturday.

The Indians shutout the Raiders in the first quarter, 16-0. McCook then outscored CCC, 26-12, to take a 42-12 halftime advantage. The Indians never let up in the second half and cruised to the win.

Despite the 41-point loss, CCC head coach Billy Perkins remains optimistic.

"We have a long way to go, but the girls are doing something right," said Perkins. "However, we realize that we have to put it all together."

The loss drops the Raiders to 0-3 to start the season.

CCC returns home for a Tuesday night meeting with Midland University JV. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Raider Fieldhouse.
