The Central Community College softball team had two doubleheaders this weekend with 2 games vs. Hawkeye CC on Saturday and 2 games vs Kirkwood CC on Sunday. A recaps of the games are below:

Game 1: Hawkeye- 12 Central- 1
Central Community College struggled to contain a high-powered offense in a 12–1 loss to Hawkeye Community College. Kloey Johnson provided the lone bright spot for the Raiders' lineup, launching a solo home run to account for the team's only run of the game. On the mound, Callen Heule shouldered the load through six innings of work but was ultimately tagged with the loss as the RedTails pulled away late.
Game 2: Hawkeye- 9 Central- 4
The Raiders were highlighted by home runs from Danica Taylor and Kennedy Koch in this 9-4 loss to Hawkeye. Taylor did well at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, while Jordyn Trotta added a triple to the Raiders' offensive tally. Logan Rainforth started on the mound and battled through over four innings of work, but she was ultimately tagged with the loss as the RedTails' early lead proved too large to overcome.

Game 1: Kirkwood- 17 Central- 0
Central Community College faced a daunting challenge against Kirkwood Community College, ultimately falling 17–0 in a five-inning contest. The Raiders' offense was held in check by a dominant Kirkwood pitching staff that allowed no hits and surrendered only one walk throughout the afternoon. Logan Rainforth started the game on the mound and was credited with the loss as the Eagles' high-powered lineup jumped out to an early lead that proved insurmountable.
Game 2: Kirkwood- 12 Central- 4
Central fell 12–4 to a potent Kirkwood Community College crew in game two as well. Bella Larsen led the Raiders' offense, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Jordyn Trotta added two hits and a run scored to the effort. Callen Heule pitched a complete seven-inning game and recorded five strikeouts, though she was credited with the loss as the Eagles' high-powered offense proved difficult to hold back.
Raiders move to 13-26 and are in action next vs Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, IA April 15th.
