The Central Community College softball team split a double-header at Southeast Community College on Friday. A recap of both games is below. The Raiders are 15-17 on the season and will travel to Creston, Iowa on Wednesday for a double-header against Southwestern Community College. Game times are 2 and 4 p.m.
Game 1: Central Community College 6 Southeast Community College 5
CCC hurler Kailee Pollard delivered 10 strikeouts over seven innings to pick up her 13th win as the Raiders doubled-up on the Storm, 6-3. Andrea Fernandez recorded a pair of homeruns while Bailey Jones homered once. The Raider scored four runs over the second and third innings and held the Storm scoreless until the sixth.
Game 2: Southeast Community College 7 Central Community College 4
The Storm scored five runs in the bottoms of the sixth inning to take the lead for good in 7-4 win over the Raiders. Emma Lees belted a homerun wile Caroline Riffer tallied a triple. CCC pitchers Jada Berry took the loss.
