The CCC men's soccer team hosted the #13 team in the country Western Iowa Tech past Sunday, October 26th for the second round of the Region 11 Championship. A recap of the match is below:
The Raiders and the Comets kicked off in the Region 11 quarterfinals on a gloomy Sunday afternoon. It would lighten up early as the Raiders would score in the first five minutes on a nice corner kick from Leo Morley-Robertson, and again a few minutes later by Harvey Brook on a great assist from Rodrigo Gete. The Raiders only big mistake in the match came late in the first half when the Comets would get on the board on a missed clear. Outside of the one miscue, CCC was phenomenal all day, playing solid defense and constantly keeping pressure on the Comets end of the pitch. The Raiders would add onto their lead in the middle of the second half on another goal from Harvey Brook, this time the assist coming from Marlon Reichelt.
The CCC men's soccer team moves to 12-5-2 and will be back in action on October 26th away vs Southeastern Community College in the Semifinals of the Region 11 Championships.
