The CCC men's soccer team traveled to Iowa Central Community College last Saturday, October 17, for a compelling conference matchup.
Two well-matched teams faced off, and the game did not disappoint. Both well-coached squads played a strong, defensive first half, keeping the game knotted at 0-0. However, a late breakthrough came when Marlon Reichelt scored just before the break, assisted by Harvey Brook and Kristof Nemeth. The goal put the Raiders on the scoreboard first, leading 1-0 at the end of the first period.
The second half was just as evenly contested. The Raiders ultimately secured the victory when Leo Morley-Robertson netted a crucial goal in the 65th minute (assisted again by Brook and Harvey Paris). This decisive score sealed the 2-0 win for the Raiders.
The CCC men's soccer team now improves its record to 10-5-2. They will be back in action on Thursday, October 22nd, when they host the defending national champions, Northeast Community College.
