The Central Community College men's basketball team headed to the #4 ranked Ellsworth Community College on Saturday, January 10th. A recap of the match is below:
Central Community College mounted a major second-half offensive, pouring in 47 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a large early deficit, as the Raiders fell to Ellsworth Community College 89-79. In the second matchup of the road against another ranked opponent, the Raiders found themselves down by 12 at halftime against #4 ranked Ellsworth CC., but the team showed tremendous fight after the break. Nino Nesbitt was the offensive catalyst, scoring a team-high 18 points, including five three-pointers, while Brody Johnson anchored the effort on the glass with a massive double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Raiders are now 8-10 and are in action next in Columbus on January 14th vs Northeast CC.
