Men’s Basketball: CCC Nearly Overtakes Highland

The Central Community College men's basketball team lost to #3-ranked Highland Community College, 73-71, in opening round action of the SCC Holiday Classic.
The Raiders were trailing by 19 points with seven minutes remaining when they charged back. However, time ran out and CCC lost by the two-point margin.
Five Raiders scored in double figures with Tre'vion Crawford (pictured) leading the way with 17 points. Manape Cleveland tallied 13 points, while Cooper Pratt scored a dozen points. Delrico Simms and Latrell Talley rounded out the double-digit scoring with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Talley also hauled in 18 rebounds for a double-double.
The loss gives CCC a 3-9 record.
