Solid Shooting Propels CCC Win

The Raiders shot 53 percent from the floor and 55 percent from three-point range as they defeated Iowa Lakes Community College, 104-96, in opening round action of the Hawks Classic at Northeast Community College.
CCC's Jerome Dixon led all scorers with 28 points, while Logan Fleming and Marco Fabietti totaled 22 and 21 points, respectively. Luke Cadzow also finished in double-digit scoring with 13 points. Iowa Lakes won the rebounding battle, 51-32, but the Raiders forced 18 Lakers turnovers.
Iowa Lakes was led in scoring by Mitch Keller with 25 points, while Cody Cox finished with 20 points. Reserve Joe Binyoti tallied 14 points and Kyle Beisch scored a dozen.
With the win, the Raiders remain undefeated at 5-0.
