Shotgun Sports: Raiders Compete in the 2026 ACUI Nationals
Central Community College Shotgun Team competed it at the 2026 ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Nationals in San Antonio. A recap of the event is below:
Last year (rookie season): We finished 36th out of 103 teams overall in the HOA, and 6th out of 7 in Division 4 with 2548 out of 3000 targets. Solid foundation!
This year: Jumped to 28th out of 104 colleges overall with 2634 out of 3000 targets (+86 targets), plus 5th out of 8 in our division. Highlight: 3rd in division IV in Doubles Skeet after tie breaking shoot-off win vs. Western Oklahoma

Trap- 478/500 targets Tied 8th out of 16 in division and tied 36th out of 106 overall

Skeet- 472/500 targets 8th out of 16 in division and tied 35th out of 105 overall

Doubles Skeet- 454/500 targets 3rd out of 13 in division (after shoot-off win vs. Western Oklahoma) and 20th out of 80 overall

Super Sporting — 417/500 targets 6th out of 12 in division and 32nd out of 87 overall

From first-year mid-pack to top-30 nationwide and a division podium in just year two—this team is proving what hard work and consistency can do. Head coach Micheal Saint said, "We're happy with the performance and the clear steps forward, but we're not content with the results. There's more to chase, and the drive is stronger than ever."
