Bio

Nathan Turner joins the Shotgun Sports coaching staff in 2026. Turner is a lifelong clay target enthusiast whose passion for the sport began with hand throwers alongside his dad and brothers. He started shooting sporting clays in the early 1990s and has remained deeply committed to the shooting sports ever since.

In 2017, Nathan began coaching high school trap shooting at Faith Christian High School in Denver, helping launch the school's inaugural team. One of his proudest moments as a coach came when he guided his son to a state championship during his senior year.

After several successful seasons, Nathan stepped away from coaching to fully enjoy his son's final two years of collegiate competition. Now, with his son graduated, Nathan is excited to return to the sport as a coach with the shotgun sports program at Central Community College. He brings a wealth of experience, a lifelong love for the sport, and a passion for developing the next generation of student-athletes.
