Jerry Drymon is in his fifth season as the head coach of the CCC Men’s Basketball team.
Prior to his arrival at CCC, Drymon spent six years as the head coach at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, where he remains as the second all-time winningest head men’s basketball coach. While at Clarke, Drymon helped the Crusaders make the transition into NAIA competition and had two teams recognized as NAIA Academic All-American teams. He also had the highest nationally ranked team in the history of the Clarke program.
Before his tenure at Clarke, Drymon was the head men’s basketball coach and physical education instructor at Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa. During his four-year stay, Drymon led the Spartans to back-to-back winning seasons as well as a #12 national ranking.
Drymon is a graduate of Mount Mercy College where he was named conference player of the year and garnered third team All-America honors. After graduation, he spent seven seasons as an assistant coach for the Mustangs.
Drymon has a MBA from Columbia Southern University. In addition to his coaching duties, he also teaches physical education courses and oversees intramural sports. He and his wife, Kari, are the parents of three children – Shae, Avery and Gabby.
